Sharon Smith’s practice emphasizes land use, real estate, municipal and school law. She represents developers and property owners in the purchase, sale and development of land. Sharon also provides legal services to the cities of Madras, La Pine, Burns and Prairie City. She is the primary attorney for the Bend-La Pine School District and provides legal services for the Bend Park & Recreation District.
Sharon currently serves as a City of Bend Municipal Court Judge, pro-tem, a position she has held since 1994. She also has served as a Land Use Hearings Officer for the City of Bend since 2001.
Sharon joined Bryant Lovlien & Jarvis in 1991. She previously practiced law in Eugene, Oregon from 1986 to 1991.
The City’s UGB expansion has been accepted by the State of Oregon. City staff was assisted by 54 individual residents who served on Citizen Technical Advisory Committees and made critical decisions about how and where the City would grow.
