Neil Bryant currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the High Desert Museum, the Oregon Corrections Enterprises, and the Partnership to End Poverty. Neil was a founder and remains a member of the Greater Bend Rotary Club.
Robert Lovlien retired on December 31, 2011. For more than 37 years, Bob represented Central Oregonians with great skill and professionalism. He was also a great business partner and a close friend. Bob will be greatly missed and we wish him the best in his retirement.
John Berge has recently been appointed to a five year term on the Board of Directors of the Professional Liability Fund for the Oregon State Bar. The PLF provides insurance coverage for Oregon lawyers.
Sharon Smith is a land use hearings officer for the City of Bend, a member of the Board of Directors of J Bar J Properties, Building a Better Bend, and the Deschutes Children's Foundation. Sharon is also a pro-tem municipal judge for the City of Bend. Sharon was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of The Barbara Emily Knudsen Foundation - a charitable foundation dedicated to individuals and families in their quests for education, well being and excellence.
John Sorlie currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Economic Development for Central Oregon, an organization that provides support and information to attract business to Central Oregon. He is a member of the Mt. Bachelor Rotary Club. He organized the Cascade Cycling Classic kid's race for the tenth straight year. He will also co-captain the Hutch's/Bend Dental/Lowes Cycling team for another year. Melissa Lande and John Sorlie recently presented a workshop on planned giving to the Habitat for Humanity board of directors and staff.
Melissa Lande is teaching classes on Estate Planning and Elder Law for Central Oregon Community College. Kyle Wuepper currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Nature of Words and the Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation and as the Chair of the Executive Committee of the Business Law Section of the Oregon State Bar. In 2009 and 2010 Kyle was named a “Rising Star” by Law & Politics magazine, a distinction that recognizes outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Only the top 2.5% of Oregon lawyers receive this distinction. Kyle recently placed 2nd in the Senior Men's (35-39) Criterium at the 2011 Masters Road National Championships.
Jeremy Green has been appointed by his peers to serve on the Executive Committee of the Oregon City Attorneys Association. Additionally, Mr. Green was recently elected Vice President of the Bend Area Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors.
Melinda Thomas has been selected to serve as an officer of the Executive Committee of the Litigation Section of the Oregon State Bar, starting in the Treasurer position in 2011, as well as on the planning subcommittee for the Oregon State Bar Litigation Section Fundamentals of Civil Procedure Seminar. Melinda has also recently joined the OSU-Cascades Sports Task Force to bring club and collegiate level sports to the OSU-Cascades campus.
