Heather Hansen was recently appointed by the United States District Court for the District of Oregon to the Merit Selection Panel for the appointment of the United States Magistrate Judge in Eugene, Oregon. The Merit Selection Panel is responsible for reviewing applications for the judicial position, conducting interviews of a select group of those applicants, checking references, and preparing and submitting a report to the Court recommending the five most qualified applicants for the position.
