PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Heather Hansen is an experienced business attorney focusing on commercial, employment, and real estate transactions. Leveraging her past experience as in-house General Counsel and as a shareholder in private practice, she delivers practical, business-driven solutions aligned with clients’ strategic objectives, risk tolerances and operational realities.
She advises clients of all sizes throughout the business lifecycle, including entity selection and governance, shareholder and operating agreements, commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, asset and equity purchase and sale transactions, and financing arrangements.
Heather regularly counsels employers on employment policies and procedures, compliance with state and federal employment laws, and the drafting and negotiation of employment and separation agreements. She also assists clients in commercial real estate transactions, including the negotiation and drafting of purchase and sale agreements, leases, and related transactional documents.
As a former General Counsel, Heather brings a client-side perspective to private practice. She understands how legal advice is evaluated and implemented in real business settings. With more than 20 years of experience as a business attorney, Heather is excited to return to Bryant Lovlien & Jarvis and serve the business community.
Between 2008 and 2012, Heather was named a “Rising Star,” a distinction that recognizes outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. While up to 5% of the lawyers in Oregon are named to SuperLawyers, no more than 2.5% are named Rising Stars.
